A woman recently came in with an engagement ring dilemma: although she liked her platinum engagement ring, it was too thin. The shank split, and stones were popping out of it after just a few months. She couldn’t wear the ring in that condition.
We worked with her to find a solution, and eventually came up with a custom design. We crafted a new platinum engagement ring that was much heavier, and reset her existing center stone into the new ring with a halo around it. The halo was made up of the smaller stones from her former engagement ring. The halo was set high enough so her existing wedding band could slip underneath it seamlessly.
